This branding concept for the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane, Australia is designed to create a bold, culturally grounded visual identity that resonates with both athletes and spectators. The project began with research into Australian culture, Olympic branding systems, and audience expectations, which informed decisions around color, symbolism, and visual storytelling. This research-driven approach ensures the identity balances cultural respect with contemporary global appeal.

The visual system draws strong inspiration from Aboriginal Australian art, incorporating dot patterns, flowing linework, and organic shapes to reflect storytelling, land, and movement. Forms reference the Brisbane River and natural landscapes, while circular motifs echo both traditional mark-making and the unity of the Olympic rings. A vibrant, high-contrast color palette captures the energy of Australia’s environment, creating a sense of warmth, motion, and vitality.

Every design decision, from composition to symbolism, was carefully considered to honor the world’s oldest living culture while presenting Brisbane as a modern host city. The final identity delivers an expressive and dynamic visual language that blends heritage with innovation, celebrating movement, connection, and global unity through a culturally respectful and engaging design system.
